I hope everyone had a great weekend. We have a VERY SHORT week this week with only 2 days of school. Just a few reminders...
If you signed up for an item for tomorrow's feast you are able to send it in the morning with your child or bring it in with you when you come for the feast at 1:30. If you did not sign-up you can sign-up here. PLEASE email me and let me know if you are attending the feast so we have enough chairs, place settings, etc. The students are in charge of setting up the room and welcoming our guests so we want to make sure we are prepared. =) Also, please know that we are making mashed potatoes & cranberry sauce and we are also making homemade butter to go with rolls I have purchased, so none of these items are needed. =) Below is a list of the people I have already received confirmation of their attendance tomorrow.

No spelling test or student of the week this week due to the short week.
Please make sure you are reading and recording your reading over the holidays. Other than reading, have a wonderful and safe holiday with your family.
A quick note from Mr. Chambers....
Could you please send this out to your parents by email regarding footwear on PE days.
As winter has arrived and the temperatures begin to drop, many students are starting to wear footwear that although may be suitable for the temperature (especially on cold mornings), are not suitable for PE. Many students are wearing Ugg like boots, cowboy boots and other varieties. These types of footwear to do not offer suitable support, and more importantly adequate grip on the surface of the gym floor putting them self and other students at risk of injury.
Please take note of what day your student has PE, and please ensure that they have correct footwear for those days so that they can continue to be involved in all elements of the lesson and remain safe.
PE days by grade level
Kindergarten - Tuesday and Thursday
1st Grade - Wednesday and Thursday
2nd Grade - Tuesday and Thursday
3rd Grade - Tuesday and Thursday
4th Grade - Thursday and Friday
5th Grade - Monday and Friday
Thank you for your help in this matter.
