*I will be absent and off-campus for grading and reporting meetings Weds, Thurs, and Fri this week. Please email Mrs. Kang directly or write a note. I am still available via email as well.
*Ask your child about his/her leprechaun trap! We wrote about our traps and drew labeled diagrams.
Spelling
I emailed the words out today and last week's tests went home yesterday. The easiest errors to correct are capital letters at the beginning of a sentence, ending with punctuation, neat penmanship, and putting spaces between words. These are basic sentence writing skills that all students (regardless of ability) are capable of mastering weekly! Please remind your child of this!
Calendar
Please remember that calendar observations begin at 8:45. I understand that schedule changes, traffic, etc. can be difficult. However, we have a pretty tight schedule on a daily basis and it is really hard to accomplish everything if we start too late into the morning. Early is better than late for our classroom schedule's sake.
Homework
Below are some optional homework activities. I encourage everyone to try one or two activities this week with your child. A description for what to do with each one is below the picture in red.
Spell your spelling words and add the money to see how much each word is worth. Which one is worth the most? Which one is worth the least? Can you trade any coins to write your spelling word's worth a difference way?

How many words can you make using the word leprechaun? Mix up the letters and use your imagination! I'll give you the first word... ape!

Above is a PDF that has AWESOME ideas for building fine motor strength. Many of them you can do using items around the house! Let me know if you have questions about any of them!
