Weekly News

I have finally finished our weekly news!  =)  My parents came in town over the weekend so I was having fun with them in Charlotte!  They came to visit our class yesterday morning and meet all of the students.  It seemed like they both (parents and students) had a wonderful time!!! 

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Deeksha's mother and Saisathvik's mother for coming in to school on Friday and helping us with our Apple Fun Day!  We had a wonderful time as we rotated through the stations and learned about Johnny Appleseed, had an apple tasting, worked on positional words and the life cycle of an apple tree, and created crafts.  

On Friday we also had a practice lock-down drill school-wide.  I explained to the students that we need to practice drills just in case anything were to happen.  Please let me know if you are receiving any questions or concerns at home that you need assistance answering.  We kept the whole discussion very broad and non-specific relating to "Why?" questions.  

We are finishing our Apple Unit on Thursday with Apple Pies!!!  If you are able to send in a bag of sugar or some sticks of butter we would greatly appreciate it! =)
