Items Needed and Weekly Information

This week we are studying PUMPKINS!!!  And.... WE NEED PUMPKINS!!! Ideally, we need 5 pumpkins for class activities next week.  They can be any size, shape, weight, etc. as we will be doing science and math activities all week using the pumpkins.  Please sign-up if you are able to contribute a pumpkin (or 2) to our class by Monday, February 21st.  THANKS!!!

Overall, our school is throwing away A LOT of garbage during lunch and snack time.  I understand that some trash is completely unavoidable.  However, with this week’s trip to the Recycling Center, we will be talking as a class about ways we can reduce the amount of trash at school, and ways we can recycle and reuse instead of wasting.  One of the “big ideas” is using Tupperware containers to bring snack and lunch items instead of Ziplock bags.  Please encourage  this change at home when packing your child’s lunch and snacks.  Having containers will also encourage responsibility and independence! J **Please make sure that your child can open and close the container independently before packing it!

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY ARE HALF DAYS OF SCHOOL WITH 11:25 DISMISSAL!!!  Please make sure you have signed up for conferences.  The link is under "links."

  

If you wish to order books from the Scholastic Book Order flyers that have been going home, please send in your order via paper order form or online BY October 25^th.  Orders can be sent in via your child’s daily folder or online.  Please let me know if you need any assistance or have questions.
