Conferences

Thursday (10/16) and Friday (10/17) are parent-teacher conferences.  During the conference I will review your child's progress in all subject areas as well as social/emotional, work habits, and current goals for your child.  Please come with any questions or concerns you may have but also understand that conferences are 15 minutes in length.  I have scheduled them 20 minutes apart to allow for time to reset after each child and before the next child and to keep on track as much as possible.  To ensure that everyone has the same amount of time and we do not get behind in our schedule, I will set a timer for 14 minutes and will move as quickly as possible through my portion of the explanation.  Please understand that if your time slot happens to be at a time when no one precedes or follows you, I will still set the timer for consistency and fairness.  =)  For the sake of time, I encourage you to be as prompt as possible, as there is not flexibility to extend our conference times.

When it is your turn for the conference, please wait in the hallway and I will come out to get you for the conference.  If the door is open, you are welcome to come in, as it indicates I am not currently in a conference about another child.

I am SO EXCITED to share all of the wonderful things we have been doing in class and answer any questions you may have.  Remember to relax and take in the joy and success of your child so far and remember that everyone (including ourselves) has something that they can work on and improve!
