Weekly Information

I hope everyone was able to enjoy the gorgeous weather this past weekend.  I spent my weekend at a kickball tournament!  =)  Fun times!!!   I can't believe that there are only 2 weeks of school left!!!!!!!  I always knew that this time would come, but I wish it wasn't so soon!  Have I mentioned yet how much I have truly enjoyed getting to know your children and family?!?  I am so proud of the kids and their individual growth this year in so many social, emotional, personal, and academic areas.  Regarding weekly news... 

Clubs
Mr. Yodice finished Club assignments for the last week of school.  The kids will be in the following clubs:
Games: Garrett, Rebekah, Ankit, David, Aarav, Ethan, Noah
American Girl: Finley, Marlee, Meera, Deeksha, Sahana
LEGOS: Arjun, Sathvik, Wesley, Sid  

Yearbooks
If you did not order a yearbook previously they are on a first come, first serve basis starting tomorrow.  The cost is $13.00 via cash or check (made out to MRSA).  The whole school will participate in yearbook signing Friday afternoon. 

Reading Folders, Bags, Libraries, Supplies
Reading folders have been collected for the year.  You will not see them coming home anymore.  Please return theme bags ASAP.  I will be returning CMS Public Library books on Wednesday.  If you'd like me to return your child's books, please send them to school before then.  School library books should have all been returned already.  Library cards will not be sent home.  They will be passed on to the next grade.  Library bags will come home full of supplies for your child to keep near the end of next week.  After field day next week, students will be allowed to keep their field trip shirts.    

Schedule of Events: IMPORTANT
June 4- We are studying ice cream this week and we will be making homemade ice cream Wednesday afternoon
June 6- Summer birthday party.  A separate email will go our to those involved. 
June 9- normal morning (upper level field day), PM clubs
June 10- field day all morning, PM clubs     
June 11- 1/2 day of school, Kindergarten party, 8th grade graduation (see details below)
June 12- 1/2 day of school with clubs
June 13- 1/2 day of school 
June 16- 1/2 day of school make-up day for electricity 


Kindergarten Party
We will be having a "Red Carpet Awards Party" with Mrs. Zagorski's class the morning of June 11th.  We will be giving all of the kids awards Hollywood style and celebrating the end of Kindergarten.  We would like for all of the kids to dress up for the event, as the movie stars and musicians do for red carpet events.  Dresses, shirts and ties, vests, etc. will make the event feel glamorous and fun for everyone!  Start shopping or picking out an outfit now!  Mrs. Z and I will provide all of the drinks, snacks, and decorations for the event, as we are keeping it a Kindergarten only affair. 

June 16th Make-up Day
I realize that the make-up day is inconvenient for many people because separate vacations, clubs, camps, and plans were already been established before the unexpected day arrived.  If you know that your child will not be attending, please let me know via note or email.  We will be saying our class goodbyes on Friday just in case as well.  =) \
