Next Week....

Good morning!  I hope everyone is having a great week.  I wanted to inform everyone about some things going on next week... 

I will be absent next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  I will be going to Phoenix, Arizona for a conference on the new Common Core Standards and Assessment Tools.  I am really excited and honored to be able to go and learn all of the new things to help pioneer future changes at the Scholars Academy.  Due to my absence, some things you should know: 

• We will not be taking the light rail or small bus to the library.  Mr. Marino will be taking us on the large school bus and staying with the class on the trip along with Miss Crowther and Mr. Brad (who helps find books and have fun since the kids were so sad this might be a trip he wasn't there due to my absence!).   
• The Strawberry Picking field trip will remain on Thursday in my absence.  Miss Crowther will be present as well as Adi's mother, Sreshti's mother, and Daniel's mother as chaperones.  We will be leaving for the trip following lunch, so no special instructions are needed there.  Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes or sneakers on this trip.  
• Calendar teachings will still occur in my absence.  I hope you enjoy! 
• I will be back to school on Friday, which is a half day of school for students.
